Our preschool program at Lake Ann Elementary through Benzie County Central Schools is part of the Great Start Readiness Program through the State of Michigan. Great Start Readiness Preschool (GSRP) is a program for children who are four years old or will be four years old by December 1st.
In our programs, we use a play-based approach, allowing children to explore and create their own ideas within the classroom. We use Creative Curriculum Teaching Strategies, using the following Objectives for Development and learning.
Social-Emotional
Objective 1: Regulates own emotions and behaviors
Objective 2: Establishes and sustains positive relationships
Objective 3: Participates cooperatively and constructively in group situations
Physical
Objective 4: Demonstrates traveling skills
Objective 5: Demonstrates balancing skills
